Ottawa Arrival

Using our mileage (or should I saw kilometreage?) of our five and six times tables, we have arrived in Ottawa, Canada in record time. I think we will celebrate our arrival on the last day of term.  I decided I would organise the food and games for this one to give you a break.  Popcorn balls with maple syrup and butter are on the agenda.  Some students, however, are volunteering their parents to make gluten free pancakes:  YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!  Next stop:  Mexico City (6’s and 7’s).  Of course, all of this will happen if their behaviour is up to scratch (remember Japan).

We are also writing information reports on different Canadian topics and they are due by Friday of this week.  Some students will be working on these at home to demonstrate to me what extra application looks like for report writing.  If your child is not…

We are also trying to finalise our three plays to perform on the last day of term.  We hope to perform these in the morning, play Weakest Link in the middle session and finish with an Ode to Canada.  That should be a very fun finish to term three.

I will be taking long service leave during term four and I should be back by week 5 or 6.  I will be cruising down the Yangtze River for part and riding a bullet train (a bucket list item) to Beijing.  Because of this, I will be assessing your child for the first three days of next week so I hope everyone is back and healthy.  We are almost there now (only one student away).

Until next term…
