As we near the end of term, it’s been a big week for the dramatic arts.

Our school film has now been completed. Next week, Barry Pheloung will be coming in to help us compose the score. It’s always educational to see how much difference music makes to the finished product and we are very fortunate to be part of the process. I can’t wait to see what we create.

We don’t have much time left to perfect our school play. The students have been working hard to learn their lines and songs so we can get the stage directions finalised. Well done to Sophie for working so hard to get it done in time.

In Music, the students have been totally engaged with composing their own songs. From what I have heard they are truly amazing. We hope they can record them and we can share them with everyone. They are also composing a class rap to remind the school of how to recycle correctly.

Tomorrow we are celebrating Grandparents’ Day. In addition to catering and serving at they event, the students will be helping their grandparents to construct a joint craft display to be portrayed around the school.

See you at the Learning Awards assembly on Wednesday!
